How the program works

01

One selected event each month

The program provides free security for 1 selected event per month, not one event per applicant or per city. Requests are reviewed for their nonprofit or community-support purpose, venue, date, safety needs and staffing availability. An inquiry is not approval, and no selection or deployment should be assumed until Astro confirms it in writing.

02

Define the donated scope clearly

Before approval, agree on the event date, location, officer duties, coverage hours, staffing and emergency contacts. The approved security scope is free. We do not publish an invented hour limit or officer allowance; these are confirmed for the selected event. Venue charges, permits, insurance and other organizer costs are not represented as donated security services.

03

Free service still needs a safe plan

Donation does not remove applicable guard credential, employment, insurance or safety requirements. Organizers remain responsible for applicable permits, venue permission, capacity rules, accessibility and their emergency plan. Officers do not replace emergency responders. Any firearm or specialist assignment needs a separate legal and operational review.

04

A respectful community application

Send the organizer's name, contact email, event purpose, date, address, expected attendance and requested duties. Explain who the event helps in general terms. Do not send medical records, immigration documents, financial records or identifying information about vulnerable people. Astro will review the request and discuss the approved scope directly.

What to include in your inquiry

  • Organizer or nonprofit name and contact email
  • Event purpose and community benefit
  • California venue address, city and ZIP code
  • Event date, hours and estimated attendance
  • Requested security duties and venue contact
  • Permit status, emergency arrangements and accessibility needs

Request the monthly event review

Email your event details directly to Astro for the donated-security review. This inquiry does not generate a paid proposal or promise that your event has been selected.
