01
Plan around your internal budget
Review priority risks, coverage hours, access points, occupancy, and available funding. Compare a dedicated officer, selected peak-hour coverage, front-desk support, and separately quoted patrol options. Establish a proposed monthly plan and an approval process for additional hours; no budget or price is guaranteed until the scope is agreed.
02
Work directly with the building or management company
Identify the authorized decision-maker, site contact, emergency escalation chain, and responsibility for keys, access permissions, cameras, and post orders. A portfolio-wide arrangement can be discussed with management, while each property keeps its own approved scope and site instructions.
03
Help organize lease-related security information
Astro can help compile factual security information for lease packets, move-in materials, vendor forms, and management records: coverage descriptions, access procedures, resident contacts, and incident-reporting instructions. With your authorization, the team can help fill in the security-related factual sections of those documents. Astro does not draft legal lease clauses, decide tenant rights, or replace your attorney or licensed property manager.
04
Connect security with daily property operations
Coordinate visitor and vendor access, deliveries, parking observations, common-area checks, and resident assistance within approved duties. Security personnel report maintenance and safety concerns to management; they do not independently approve leases, collect rent, perform evictions, or promise crime-free premises.
05
Set measurable oversight and reporting
Agree on attendance checks, supervisor reviews, incident escalation, regular property meetings, and the reports your team needs. Review recurring issues and adjust post orders or coverage with management approval. Client report access can be arranged through Astro's designated reporting app; access and any data-sharing arrangements must be confirmed separately.
06
Keep employment responsibilities clear
If your property already employs security staff, discuss how Astro support would work alongside them. The written arrangement must identify the employer, scheduling authority, training duties, supervision, insurance, and applicable employment obligations. A service partnership does not automatically transfer your employees to Astro.
